Collection of ONLY
5th Grade
student school devices!
Attention 5th Grade Parents
Dear Parents/Guardians,
As the school year is coming to a close, we are beginning the process of collecting all school-issued devices from our fifth-grade students. These devices are the property of the school and are essential for our educational programs next year.
We kindly request that you ensure your child brings their assigned device, along with its charger, to school immediately.
All devices must be returned by the end of the school day on Friday, June 13th, 2025.
Devices that are not returned by this deadline will be subject to consequences, which may include withholding participation in certain activities until the device is returned. We understand that issues can arise, so if you believe the device has been lost, stolen, or damaged, please see the procedures below:
Lost Devices
Families who need to replace an iPad or Chromebook that has been lost must create a ticket with the DIIT Service Desk (also available by calling 718-935-5100) noting that the device was lost and indicating if a replacement device is needed.
Stolen Devices
Families who need to replace an iPad or Chromebook that has been stolen must first file a police report in person at their residential police precinct.
When you get to the precinct, let the front desk staff at the precinct know that you wish to report a stolen iPad or Chromebook device that was issued to you by the NYC Department of Education.
Note the report number, precinct number, the date the complaint was made, and the name of the person taking the complaint.
Please create a ticket with the DIIT Service Desk (also available by calling 718-935-5100) noting that the device was stolen and include the Police Report Number.
Note:
Families will NOT have to disclose their legal/immigration status.
NYPD does not report or share this type of information with other government agencies.
Your cooperation in ensuring the timely return of these valuable resources is greatly appreciated and helps us prepare for a successful start to the next school year.
